Solid Brass Spot Lights — 28 units

Aged solid brass, cylindrical body, screwed bezel ring over a glass lens, side bracket. Matched to the reference photo — and at the price you asked for.

Found at $41–55 / unit 28 units Solid brass, real patina Ship to Hammondsport, NY Aug 5, 2026

Good news — this exact fixture exists at your price

The spot in your last photo is a solid cast brass landscape spot: cylindrical body, domed cap, heavy bezel ring screwed over a glass lens, flat side bracket, raw brass left to patina. That fixture is a standard US product and sells for $41–55 a piece in solid brass.

One condition attached: this family of fixture runs on 12V low voltage, not 120V. That means one transformer for the whole cellar. It adds about $200 once — and it is how professional accent lighting is normally done anyway.

2.The three parts

A 12V system is three things: the fixtures, the wall bases that replace the ground stakes, and one transformer feeding the lot. All verified and priced Aug 5, 2026.

One box, wired once by the electrician, feeding every spot. The extra tap voltages matter in a long cellar: they keep the last fixture on the run as bright as the first.

A 300W unit leaves room to add fixtures later. If the run is short you could go smaller, but the headroom is cheap.

5.What 12V changes — honestly

What you gain

Solid brass at $42 instead of painted aluminium at $85. Real patina that keeps developing, the correct bezel-and-glass design, and UL wet location certification.

Low voltage cable is also safer to run and easier to modify later: adding or moving a spot means splicing a cable, not calling an electrician for a 120V circuit.

What it costs you

One transformer (~$200, once) and a 120V feed to it. Each fixture draws 5W, so 28 fixtures draw 140W — a 300W unit carries them comfortably.

Cable runs need sizing so the far end stays as bright as the near end. That is exactly what the multi-tap outputs are for, and it is routine work for your electrician.

The one thing to check first

These are MR16 5W, 400 lumens, 40° beam fixtures — accent lights meant to wash a wall or pick out a barrel, not to light a whole room. For 28 points in a cellar that is usually right, and it is the look in your photos.

If some of these are meant to be the room's main light, say so — those positions would want a wider beam or a higher wattage MR16.

6.Ordering — five steps

  1. Pick the body shape. Open the Sunbright collection: seven shapes side by side. Choose the one matching the photo, and pick natural or antique brass, not black.
  2. Order 28 fixtures + 28 wall bases. The base is what makes it a wall light instead of a garden stake. At 40+ it costs $8.68 — order 30 of each to keep spares.
  3. One 300W multi-tap transformer. 28 × 5W = 140W, so 300W leaves room to extend the installation later.
  4. MR16 LED bulbs in 2700K. Warm light for stone and oak. Confirm they are dimmable if the cellar runs on dimmers — and buy all 28 from one batch so the colour matches.
  5. Ask for a quote at 28 units. GKO Plus already publish 10-pack pricing; at 28 pieces plus bases plus transformer it is worth an email rather than a web checkout.

7.Questions

Why is solid brass cheaper here than the aluminium fixture proposed before?

Different market. Landscape lighting is a high-volume professional trade with real competition, so solid brass is commodity-priced. Architectural wall sconces are a design category with far smaller production runs. Same metal, same country, half the price.

Will it really patina like the photo?

Yes — that is what solid brass does. Natural and antique brass finishes keep darkening and eventually move towards verdigris, especially in a cellar's humidity. It is the same ageing as the fixture in your reference image. Avoid the black or painted bronze versions, which are coated and stay put.

Is a transformer a problem for the inspection?

The opposite. 12V accent lighting fed by a UL-listed transformer is standard commercial practice, and the fixtures themselves are UL wet location listed. The only 120V element is the feed to the transformer, wired by your electrician.

Can we keep the ground stakes instead of the wall bases?

Only where a spot sits on the floor uplighting a wall or a barrel — which can be a fine effect. For anything mounted on a wall, the brass base gives the round backplate and holds the fixture properly.
